I believe i may have not explained myself enough, and thus you might have misunderstood my comments.<BR/><BR/>I do understand that the author intends that God would not support needless death. God doesn’t support death at all. He does as the author stated oppose death, but he also conquered death. I simply found it ironic that the statement stated by the author in the song was exactly opposite of something Jesus did.<BR/><BR/>The fact is that there is a reason big enough and large enough for God to send someone to die for. This is totally separate from a war.<BR/><BR/>Anger against death is right. Jesus was angry at death in John 11. But to simply see death as something Jesus is mad at is to stop short. God is not just some happy love filled guy who says man i hate death i wish i could do something about it don’t go anywhere near it. He is the victor over death. Guaranteeing that if you go through it for ANY reason (even a lie), it’s something He’s already done.<BR/><BR/>So i did not intend to compare the death of our troops to the death of maryrs. Instead i wanted to compare what the author said to what Jesus did. Dj well messed around with drugs for a while. He had stopped for some time and was clean but then got caught up in them again.
